Project Overview

A global insurance company engaged Allwave AV Systems to deliver an integrated corporate AV solution in Bangalore for its 8th-floor facility at Primeco Union City. The project covered a dedicated command center and two 40-seat divisible training rooms, designed to support corporate training, video conferencing, presentations, content sharing, townhall sessions and collaborative communication. The AV deployment included large-format video walls, professional audio, Cisco video conferencing, centralized AV processing and control and structured signal distribution.

The divisible training room AV solution was designed around a Master architecture, allowing both rooms to operate independently or combine into a larger training or townhall space when required. The Command Centre incorporated a 2×4 front video wall and 2×2 side video wall, workstation-based content sources, Cisco video conferencing, distributed ceiling audio and Q-SYS-based centralized processing and control. Allwave’s scope covered AV system design, infrastructure coordination, installation, integration, programming, testing, calibration, commissioning and resolution of implementation challenges, including video wall colour calibration and wireless microphone frequency coordination.

About the client

The client is a global property and casualty insurance company with business operations across multiple locations. Its Bangalore facility supports business operations where effective communication, collaboration and employee training are an important part of the workplace environment.

For a corporate facility of this scale, meeting and training spaces need to accommodate different requirements while remaining simple and flexible to operate. The client therefore required an integrated corporate AV system capable of supporting video conferencing, presentations, professional room audio, multi-display content and flexible room configurations across its Command Centre and training spaces.

Business Challenges

1. Video Wall Alignment and Installation

The Command Centre required precise physical alignment of the video wall panels to maintain consistent bezel-to-bezel spacing and a uniform visual appearance across the complete display surface.

2. Long-Distance AV Signal Distribution

The project involved long-distance video signal paths between AV sources and display endpoints. This required suitable HDBaseT signal extension technology and properly terminated structured cabling to ensure reliable video transmission.

3. AV Rack Placement and Signal Management:

Rack positioning was an important consideration during the AV system design and installation. Locating the AV rack directly below the video wall helped minimize cable distances and reduce the need for additional transmitters and receivers for certain output sources.

4. Colour Calibration

Colour variation across the video wall panels was identified and resolved through recalibration with the LG OEM team.

5. Infrastructure Prerequisites

Delays occurred due to incomplete AV prerequisites. Allwave coordinated with the PMC and Pencil Sketch team to complete the required infrastructure.

6. Wireless Interference:

Audio crosstalk between floors occurred because 14 wireless units exceeded the recommended 10-unit frequency-band limit. Four ATW-2100 units were planned for replacement with ATW-2120 C-Band models to resolve the interference.

Solutions

Training Room 1 – Master Room

Training Room 1 is configured as the Master Room for the divisible training room setup. It features a Cisco Room Kit Pro with Codec Pro, a quad camera, a room navigator, and ceiling microphones. The room also integrates two presenter PTZ cameras, enabling presenter capture during combined-room training sessions and townhall events.

Training Room 2 – Slave Room

Training Room 2 is configured as the Slave Room and is equipped with a Cisco Room Kit EQ, including Codec EQ, Quad Camera, Room Navigator and ceiling microphones. It can operate independently as a training and collaboration space while also supporting the combined-room configuration.

Divisible / Combined Room Functionality

The two training rooms follow a 1+1 divisible-room AV architecture, allowing them to function independently or as one larger training and townhall space. Each room has its own display, video conferencing, audio and control capabilities, while the Master Room manages the combined-room operation.

• Master/Slave AV architecture enables coordinated operation between both training rooms.
• Presenter PTZ cameras connect to the Master Room Codec Pro for presenter tracking and capture.
• HDBaseT signal extension supports reliable video distribution to the main and repeater displays.
• Centralized DSP and control manage room audio and AV operation.
• Wireless microphones and antenna distribution support presenter mobility during training and townhall sessions.
• 110-inch LG displays provide the primary viewing surface, while 55-inch repeater displays support participants seated at the rear.

Command Centre

The Command Centre is designed as a centralized corporate AV and collaboration environment supporting multi-source visualization, video conferencing and flexible content management.

A structured AV rack, a Netgear-managed network switch and organized cabling provide the infrastructure required for reliable system operation.

A 2×4 front video wall and 2×2 side video wall provide large-format visualization for multiple content sources.

Workstation PCs and Cisco video conferencing sources can be routed to the required display areas.

QuantumTech HDMI matrix switchers and HDBaseT extenders support structured AV signal distribution.

Cisco video conferencing enables remote meetings and collaborative communication.

Vector ceiling speakers with Helvia amplification provide distributed audio coverage across the Command Centre.

Q-SYS Core 110f-v2 centralizes audio DSP, echo cancellation, AV processing and system control.

iPad-based control interfaces provide a simple user interface for operating the AV system.

Scope of work:

Allwave’s scope covered the Command Centre and two 40-seat divisible training rooms, including AV design, equipment integration, video conferencing, display systems, audio systems, DSP and control, signal distribution, network infrastructure, rack integration, installation, testing and commissioning.

The divisible training rooms included Cisco video conferencing, LG 4K displays, presenter PTZ cameras, wireless microphones, professional audio, Q-SYS DSP and centralized AV control. The system was designed to support both independent room operation and combined training or townhall sessions.

For the Command Centre, the scope covered the installation and integration of front and side video walls, Cisco video conferencing, workstation-based content distribution, professional audio, Q-SYS processing and centralized control. Allwave also handled system testing, video wall calibration, AV troubleshooting and final commissioning to ensure reliable day-to-day operation.

• HDBaseT extender kits for long-distance 4K video distribution over Cat6 cabling.

2. Video Conferencing & Audio

Cisco Video Conferencing:

• Cisco Room Kit EQ with Codec EQ, Quad Camera, Room Navigator, and ceiling mics.
• Integrated directly with the front video wall for video meetings.

Audio System:

• Vector ceiling speakers powered by a Helvia power amplifier for room-wide sound coverage.

3. Control, Network & Infrastructure

Central DSP & Control:

• Q-SYS Core 110f-v2 processor handles all audio tuning, matrix switching control and AEC (echo cancellation).
• Q-SYS Serial Expanders for hardware control.
• Apple iPads running custom user control interfaces.

4. Network & Power

• Dedicated Netgear M4250 Managed Switch providing network connectivity and PoE+ power.
• All central equipment is housed in a single 17U Valrack AV Rack.

1. Displays & Video Conferencing

• Repeater Displays: LG 55UR640S 4K UHD screens for rear seating.

Video Conferencing Systems:

• Master Room VC: Cisco Room Kit Pro with Codec Pro, Quad Camera, Room Navigator and ceiling mics.
• Slave Room VC: Cisco Room Kit EQ with Codec EQ, Quad Camera, Room Navigator and ceiling mics.
• Presenter Tracking: Cisco Room Vision PTZ cameras with SCT RC5+ extenders and motorized lifts.

• Headsets & Lapels: AT829cW collar mics & PRO92cW headworn mics.

• DSP Engine: QSC Q-SYS Core 110f-v2 processor.
• Control Expanders: QSC QIO-S4 I/O expansion module & relay controller.
• User Interface: iPad AV control running custom GUI.

Network & Signal Infrastructure:

• Switching: Netgear M4250-26G4XF-PoE+ managed network switch.
• Signal Extenders: QuantumTech MT-HDBT01 HDMI/HDBaseT extender kits.
• Rack: Single Valrack 27U AV rack housing all central hardware.

RESULTS & IMPACT

The completed corporate AV integration in Bangalore provides a flexible AV environment across the Command Centre and two divisible training rooms, supporting video conferencing, presentations, training and townhall sessions.

The two 40-seat training rooms can operate independently or combine into a larger space through the Master/Slave AV architecture. The Command Centre integrates 2×4 and 2×2 video walls, centralized AV processing, DSP and control for efficient content distribution and visualization.

The project also addressed video wall alignment, colour calibration, long-distance AV signal distribution and wireless microphone management, resulting in a structured and reliable AV infrastructure for the Bangalore workplace.

Conclusion
